Positive Pit Bull News

With all the bad media attention given to our dogs these days, it’s always nice to see some good news.

Did you hear about “Blue” the beautiful pit bull mix in New York who saved a 7 year old girl from an attempted sexual assault? There are pit bull heroes everywhere, and it’s just too bad we don’t hear more about them. We all know how instinctive our bullies can be.

On a lighter note “Carmel” in Quincy, Massachusetts won The Herald-Whig's No. 1 Pet Contest, receiving 7,841 of the 42,503 votes cast. On top of that, it cost voters $0.25 each time they voted, with all monies raised going to the local humane society. So not only did this pup have the greatest number of fans, she also helped to earn money to help homeless pets. We think this contest is a really great idea in general.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see more good news about pit bulls in the paper? We’ll try to be sure to share them with you every chance we get here at our blog! If you've heard any positive pit bull stories lately, please be sure to let us know!
