I-Team: Pit Prints Under Investigation

Reported By: Randy Travis | Edited By: Leigha Baugham

ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Dogs have a special place in the heart of many Georgians, especially if it's a dog in need, but some accuse the president of a local dog rescue group of preying on that sympathy.

Rescue groups are non-profits set up to save dogs from being euthanized in area shelters, but is one Georgia group really rescuing dogs or simply lying to its well-meaning supporters?

The state has now suspended Pit Prints' rescue license until the investigation is finished.

I recently published "Lost Souls: Found! Inspiring Stories About Pit Bulls." Pit Prints had signed up to be a rescue partner with us, but upon the recommendation of my other rescue partners for the book, we decided to exclude her because of her questionable practices. She was very convincing in her emails to me, but now I'm feeling more confident in our decision to exclude her. I'm very sorry for her if these accusations are false, but there seems to be so many that I can't see how they possibly could be. This whole situation is very sad.
